The numbering of the sources (S1, S2….) does not correspond to the order of the testimonies in the chapter’s text.

The order of the centers goes from west to east and from north to south. The order of the lists within each center follows the order given by the informants or as they appear on the main list; often the order is not haphazard.

With regard to the places of origin: For adults, this refers to their place of birth. In the case of children, it refers to their parents’ place of birth. The place of origin indicates the language spoken and social identity of those massacred.
